HOW DO WE BECOME A PART OF THE CORE TEAM
Pawsitive Inducts new people into the team every year. Emails are sent out to all Ashoka Students before interviews are held for sign ups. For a short period of time, the newly inducted members are kept on probation, and then it is decided if they have what is required to be part of the core team.
CAN I HELP IF I'M NOT IN THE CORE TEAM?
Of course!
Pawsitive has numerous WhatsApp groups where we coordinated feeding. Who all will go to feed the dogs lunch and dinner, at what time, and more.
More than this it's a great way to mingle with and meet your peers.
DO THE DOGS BITE?
Build trust with the animals as you know nothing about their past, and might enrage them intentionally.
Also, they might not be vaccinated, in case of which you can go ahead and get that done. In any case, don't try to be too physically close to them, lest you freak them out.
CAN I HELP IN FEEDING THE DOGS?
Yes of course! If you are a student of Ashoka University then you can join our Whatsapp group, reach out to us and we will share the link! - or you can go ahead and join us in the afternoons around 2pm and at night at 10pm when we meet at the mess to collect the food. I'VE NOTICED SOME DOGS ARE INJURED OR UNWELL, WHO DO I INFORM?
If you notice any of the gate dogs are unwell or injured please call Rhea or Sharvil ( +91 7738257824 / +91 8668140284) immediately. They are on campus and will take the injured dog/s to the vet if required. If the dog just has a small open wound the core team will treat him/her with the medicines required. We have the experience required don't worry!
I HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERIENCE, CAN I HELP?
Yes! We want to reach more people on and off campus. Whether it's for feeding (we could always use more volunteers) or for fundraising and collaborations. If you have ideas or would like to work with us, well we'd love that.
